The "I Matter" Project

is a youth character education and leadership program that inspires and empowers students to make better life decisions and steer clear of destructive behavior including substance abuse. "I Matter" Projects enroll communities in support of their kids with publicly displayed, large-scale photographic portraits of students taken by students accompanied by statements pronouncing their worth. This public declaration of self-worth boldly announces that our kids really do matter - that we all matter.

In a workshop environment kids interact with one another, face-to-face, sharing their thoughts and feelings, then engaging in a creative group project where they quickly see results larger than themselves. This Social Impact Art project prompts vital public conversation and community involvement, two valuable tools when addressing sensitive social issues such as drug use and abuse.
